Health Information Disclaimer
In short: we're a retailer, not a healthcare provider. Nothing on this site is medical advice. Always read the label on the product you receive, and speak to your GP or pharmacist before taking any supplement if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, taking medication or managing a health condition.
Who we are, and what this page is for
CreatineHQ is a specialist online retailer. We sell creatine supplements made by third-party manufacturers. We are not doctors, pharmacists, dietitians or nutritionists, and we are not authorised to give individual health advice.
This page explains the limits of the information we publish, so you know what our guides, product pages and answers to your emails are — and what they aren't.
Nothing here is medical advice
Everything on this website — product descriptions, comparison guides, blog articles, FAQs, and any reply you receive from us by email — is general information only. It is not medical, clinical, dietary or diagnostic advice, and it is not tailored to you, your health, your medication or your training.
Nothing we sell is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Never delay or disregard advice from a qualified healthcare professional because of something you read here. If a doctor, pharmacist or dietitian tells you something that contradicts this website, follow them, not us.
The only health claim we're allowed to make
Health claims on food supplements are tightly controlled by law in Great Britain. For creatine, exactly one claim is authorised:
"Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high-intensity exercise. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine."
That is the whole of it. We do not claim, and you should treat with caution anyone who does claim, that creatine builds muscle, burns fat, alters hormones, improves recovery, sharpens memory, slows ageing, or helps with any medical condition.
Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Always read the label
Formulations, ingredient lists, serving sizes, allergen warnings and directions for use are set by the manufacturer and can change without notice to us.
The label on the product in your hand is the authoritative source. Where anything on this website differs from that label, follow the label. We take care to describe products accurately using manufacturer data, but we cannot guarantee that every specification on a product page reflects the most recent production run.
If you spot a discrepancy between our page and the product you received, please tell us at info@creatinehq.co.uk so we can correct it.
Allergens and intolerances
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, check the physical label every time — including on repeat purchases of a product you've bought before. Manufacturers reformulate, and they change production facilities.
We cannot guarantee that any product is free from cross-contamination unless the label states it. If in doubt, contact the manufacturer before you take it.
Who shouldn't take creatine without checking first
Creatine is intended for healthy adults aged 18 and over. You must be 18 or over to order from us.
Speak to your GP or pharmacist before taking creatine if you:
- are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding
- have any kidney, liver or heart condition, or a family history of one
- have diabetes, high blood pressure, or any metabolic condition
- take any prescription or over-the-counter medication, including anti-inflammatories and diuretics
- are under medical supervision for any reason, or are recovering from illness or surgery
- have an eating disorder or a history of one
- are under 18
Manufacturer labelling routinely advises against use by children and adolescents, and we won't knowingly sell to under-18s.
Dosage
Do not exceed the manufacturer's stated dose. More is not better, and the authorised claim above is based on 3 g of creatine per day — not on larger amounts.
Directions differ between products, particularly between powders, capsules, gummies and blends where the creatine content per serving is not the same. Read the directions on each individual product.
If you experience discomfort, stop taking the product and speak to a pharmacist or GP.
If something goes wrong
If you have an adverse reaction to a product bought from us:
- Stop taking it.
- Seek medical advice. For urgent symptoms call NHS 111, or 999 in an emergency.
- Keep the packaging, including the batch number and best-before date.
- Let us know at info@creatinehq.co.uk. We'll pass the report to the manufacturer and, where appropriate, to the relevant food safety authority.
Reporting matters. It's how formulation and labelling problems get found.
Competitive and drug-tested athletes
If you compete under an anti-doping code, you are responsible for checking every product against your governing body's rules and prohibited list.
Where a product carries a recognised batch-testing certification (such as Informed Sport), we say so on the product page. Where it doesn't, we make no representation about its suitability for tested competition. The absence of a certification is not a claim that a product is contaminated; it means it hasn't been tested under that scheme, and we can't tell you more than that.
Manufacturer and third-party content
Product images, packaging text, brand websites and manufacturer marketing are produced by the brands themselves, not by us. We don't control their content and we don't endorse claims made in it. Where brand material makes a claim that goes beyond the authorised wording above, that claim is the manufacturer's, not ours.
Customer reviews published on this site are the personal opinions and experiences of individual customers. They are not evidence of efficacy, they are not verified by us as medically accurate, and they should not be read as advice. We may remove a review that makes a health claim, because we're required to.
Links to other sites
Where we link out — to research, to a manufacturer, to a governing body — we do so for information. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or accuracy.
Accuracy and updates
We review our guides and product information periodically and correct errors when we find them. We don't warrant that everything on this site is complete, current or error-free at any given moment, and we may change content without notice.
Nothing on this page limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Our full liability position is set out in our Terms & Conditions.
Questions
We're happy to tell you what's in a product, what the label says, what size and serving count you're getting, and how one product differs from another. That's retail information and we know it well.
We can't tell you whether creatine is right for you, whether it's safe alongside your medication, or what dose you personally should take. Those are questions for a GP, pharmacist or registered dietitian, and we'll always say so rather than guess.
Email info@creatinehq.co.uk — we reply within 24 hours, seven days a week.
